The Ocean County Library will offer “English as a Second Language” for adults at the Lacey Branch, 10 East Lacey Road in Forked River and the Lakewood Branch, 301 Lexington Ave.
Classes are being held every Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting January 7th through May 20th, at both branches.
Students will build the confidence and skills necessary to master the English language through a well-developed curriculum taught by highly experienced teachers. The classes have received excellent reviews from students who immigrated to the United States from countries all over the world.
English as a Second Language is sponsored by the OceanFirst Foundation and the Ocean County Library Foundation.
The programs are free and open to the public. New students should register with the instructors on Saturday mornings. Can’t make this semester? The library is also planning to offer a summer semester, to be announced. For more information, please contact Cathi Sheridan, Program Coordinator and Lakewood Branch Manager at 732-363-1435, ext. 2620.
